About This Spot

Stepping into فروج أبو العبد | Farooj Abu Al Abed in Mangaf feels like entering a straightforward, no-frills neighborhood spot where the focus is firmly held on satisfying a familiar appetite. The pace is unhurried and practical, reflecting a place where locals stop by to grab a hearty, comforting meal rather than linger over elaborate dining rituals. The hum of everyday life mixes with the enticing aroma of grilled chicken and warm bread, setting a tone that is casual and functional, yet inviting in its own earnest way.

The atmosphere here carries an authentic, grounded warmth — a space where the scent of sizzling spices and the sight of golden fries strewn generously over plates suggest familiarity and simple pleasures. This is a place where many come seeking the dependable taste of Lebanese street fare, prepared in a way that echoes longstanding family traditions. It’s not a refined dining experience but rather a shared moment of uncomplicated satisfaction, where the meals often come wrapped in the easy rhythms of local routine.

Visitors often take note of the bustling nature of the kitchen and the moments of pause that naturally occur when food is made to order. This ebb and flow, while sometimes testing patience, also speaks to the craft behind each dish and a desire to serve up something fresh and flavorful. Whether enjoying a midday pick-up or a quick dinner, the sense of connection to familiar flavors and textures provides comfort and a quiet joy.

Farooj Abu Al Abed’s experience is unmistakably rooted in its role as a casual local eatery — a place to return to for the honest taste of grilled chicken paired with crisp, salty fries. It’s a scene where the food’s authenticity creates a shared bond, even amid the everyday hustle. For those around Mangaf looking to ground themselves with a taste of Lebanon’s heartier side, this spot provides a sincere, if unpolished, window into that world.

Food is always delicious at any branch of Abu Al Abed, I ordered food and it was for 2 people. As for service, I park there and the guy stares at me till I tell him come take my order, he didn’t respond to me when I told him thank you just walked away. I get the feeling that the service affected the atmosphere a little.

Very good food!! But it takes long time to get the food! Literally waited for almost 40 mins for just 2 shawermas!

In my personal opinion, one of the best tasting sandwiches and value for money as well. Now there is delivery service also. For pick up you can call before you go so you don't have to wait a long time

Lot of hype about this place. Ordered 2 full grilled chicken, humus and a kebab meal small bucket. Took 35 minutes wait outside the restaurant. The guy told me the same wait time so that was OK. Both full chicken box came with lot of fluffy fries covering the chicken. Chicken were over grilled and had to remove the whole black skin before eat. Had no proper marinating of flavors except just salty flavor. There was no grilled onion or tomatoe or green pepper or even no garlic sauce which I would definitely expect at any restaurant. However I would still try some of the chicken wraps which I read lot of good reviews. So I won't rate this place just because my first experience is not good. I'd definitely try other options as well and few more visits.

I had chicken Shawarma from here and it was really tasty and the wraped kubbus was crispy and the sauces given are also very tasty They have few seating options available for dine in May be in winter there will be outdoor seating arrangements It is situated right after the fahaheel mangaf signal so take away ordering in car will be a issue because of no parking spaces in front of the shop.
